He'll like that. We've been making due with what we can get from the closets, which isn't bad, it's just... [Not as good as what Buffy could do. But nothing is. There's only one Buffy, and she's gone. Or she was, up until she showed up here.] Well, it's the equivalent of what we could get in a store.

I've been asking for components. I ended up with a lot more than I'd been planning on but... it's getting used at least.

Should I drop it off at the office for you? [ She's giving George the option to not have to see her if she wants. It's the least she can do when she fucked up so badly. ]

[Ah, she's giving George an out. It's a thoughtful gesture, considering Buffy betrayed her and George had to shoot Buffy in the head, but not one George will allow herself to take. She's always faced her problems head on before. This doesn't seem like the time to change that.]

I'm there now. You can come show me how they work.

[They both know technology is not Georgia's strong suit.]

[ So fun fact about voice calls, you don't need to be wearing pants for them. Actually visiting your boss/estranged best friend however does require them oddly enough. Buffy throws on pair of leggings and grabs her box of surveillance goodies before heading down to the office.

She doesn't bother to knock because it's her workplace too, though she hesitates in the doorway. ]

[George doesn't stop typing. Buffy knows her well enough that she won't be offended if George finishes her sentence. She taps out a few more words, then turns around.

Buffy showing up with new toys is so normal she has to actively remind herself they aren't fully okay. She nods coolly.]

What'd you bring?

The usual goodies you like to have on you. Concealed button cameras, wireless bugs and transmitters that can be synced up the the servers. Plus Shaun's Irwin resistant cameras for if he wants to do something rough.

[ She walks over and sets the box on the desk and it's filled with the sorts of bugs that she used to have to save up to build. ]

Plus I made a few standard bugs in case you want to listen in on anyone here. The usual voice activated setup.

[George picks one up thoughtfully, then walks over to the speaker she has by the covered mirror, casually turning the music up to make it harder to overhear.]

Do you think you can build some with self contained storage? We can't do anything about it now, but next time we can get over to the Mirror Side, I'd love to put some bugs there. Might not be able to transmit through the glass, but we'd be able to get them back eventually. It'd be nice if we could spy back.

Internal storage is easy enough, I'll just make some modifications to the builds. They might be a little bulkier but I'll see what I can do about streamlining it. Plus I can make a few that store internally and a few that broadcast wirelessly so we can see whether or not the signal can get through the mirrors.

[ This is exactly her wheelhouse and it's easy to see how her mind turns on to technical thoughts. This isn't even about trying to win George's forgiveness, it's about the challenge of building something new. ]

[George nods. This is work. This is familiar. This is necessary and hopefully useful. She can push aside her complicated feelings.]

Good. Transmission would be better, but I don't know how feasible it'll be. We can always experiment if we do end up with the opportunity.
